Dr. Fredrick A. Valauri is an experienced plastic surgeon with over 30 years of experience. He was born and raised in the New York metropolitan area. After being named the valedictorian at Salesian Preparatory High School, he went on to receive his B.A. in Psychobiology from NYU. Thereafter, Dr. Valauri received his MD from SUNY-Downstate in Brooklyn. He completed his residency training in general surgery, and plastic surgery at NYU-Bellevue Medical Center.
Dr. Valauri is double board certified. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery, and in Hand Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a past president of the NY Regional Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a member of over 20 professional societies, such as the American Society for Aesthetics Plastic Surgery. In addition, Dr. Valauri has authored over 30 medical articles, he is a lecturer and faculty member at national and international plastic surgery conferences and teaches at several New York hospitals about cosmetic surgery to plastic surgery residents.
Dr. Fredrick Valauri has also been recognized for his excellence and is listed in different publications such as Super Doctors, Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors, Castle Connolly’s Guide to America’s Cosmetic Doctors and Dentists, and Guide to America’s Top Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Valauri enjoys performing cosmetic surgeries including facelifts, breast augmentations, breast lifts, tummy tucks and Brazilian butt lifts amongst other things. He believes that plastic surgery is uniquely personal and requires empathy towards a patient, that is why he deems essential for a patient to take as much time as they need to express themselves so that he can carefully understand your concerns and goals.
